Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2016/sm1606.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Debra Ann Simoneaux Louviere passed away at the age of 61 at her home peacefully in her sleep with her family by her side early Monday morning, June 6, 2016, following a hard fought and courageous two year long battle with glioblastoma (brain cancer). Debra was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She was born on November 27, 1954 in Valdosta, Georgia to the late Melvin E. Simoneaux Sr. and the late Theresa Bourliea Simoneaux and has been a resident of Charenton for the past 38 years. On June 22, 1974 she married her best friend and love of her life, Gary. Some of her favorite pastimes were crocheting, flower gardening, spending time with her family, and motorcycling with her husband wherever the road would lead them. She was also a parishioner of the Church of the Assumption in Franklin. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her husband of nearly 42 years, Gary Wayne Louviere, two children, Renee Cary Louviere and Sean Wayne Louviere and his wife Meagan; three grandchildren, Kylie, Andie, and Holden Louviere; three brothers, Melvin E. Simoneaux Jr., Michael J. Simoneaux, and Mark J. Simoneaux; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Gary Wayne Louviere Jr.; and her parents, Melvin E. Simoneaux Sr. and Theresa Bourliea Simoneaux. A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday, June 9th, at Ibert's Mortuary in Franklin from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 7:00 p.m. Visitations will resume Friday at the Church of the Assumption from 9:00 a.m. until time of services. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, June 10th, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Assumption, with Fr. Lloyd Benoit officiating. Following the Mass, Debra will be laid to rest in the Franklin Cemetery Mausoleum. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc., 1007 Main Street, Franklin, LA ===================
