Sheehan, 81, a resident of Berwick passed from this world on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Teche Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Charles was born on May 15, 1935 in New Orleans the son of Charles I. Sheehan Sr. and Evelyn Haydel Sheehan. Charles dedicated his life to his wife, family and friends. Charles loved spending time with his family, he especially loved spending time with his wife going on many cruises together over the years. He had a love and passion for woodworking, making many things for his family. Charles served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Maria LaCoste Sheehan of Berwick; five children, Denise Pitts and husband Guy of Morgan City, Justin Sheehan and wife Cynthia of Covington, Charles "Chuck" Sheehan of Westwego, Wendy Rulf and husband Les of Patterson, Margaret Lagneaux and husband Jaspar of Scott; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one sister, Patricia LaCoste of Patterson; one god daughter, Paula Crochet of Berwick. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Charles I. Sheehan Sr. and Evelyn Haydel Sheehan; one brother, Paul Sheehan; mother and father-in-law, Paul LaCoste Sr. and Agnolia LaCoste. Active Pallbearers will be Jason Pye, Michael Pye, Jerry Crochet, Tristan Sheehan, Jason Orlando, Chase Sheehan, Paul LaCoste III, Jerry LaCoste Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne LaCoste and Tommy LaCoste. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2016 at Twin City Funeral Home with Monsignor J. Douglas Courville officiating. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Twin City Funeral Home with the visitation resuming on Monday at the funeral home 9:00 a.m. until the time of the services. Following the services Charles will be laid to rest in Morgan City Cemetery with military honors rendered by the East St. Mary Veterans Funeral Squad. US Army ===================
