Elward Joseph Stephens, 92, a resident of Stephenville passed away on June 2, 
2016 at his residence.

Elward was born on August 9, 1924, the son of Gilbert Stephens and Alizna 
Stephens. He loved gardening and fishing. He was in the United Army Infirmary 
and was a World War II Hero.

He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife Olive Boudreaux 
Stephens; one son: Mark A. Stephens and wife Dana; three brothers: Elliot 
Stephens and wife, Ashley Stephens and wife, Wilson Stephens and wife; one 
sister: Louella Dupre Stephens. Elward also leaves behind numerous 
grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and lots of friends.

Elward was preceded in death by his parents, two sons: Glen A. Stephens, Gary 
J. Stephens.

He has donated his body to science so there will be no services.
