Funeral services will be held Monday, August 1, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic 
Church in Patterson during an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian burial for Georgette 
"Jo" Remy Broussard, a native of Valenciennes, Nord, France and a 60 year 
resident of Patterson who passed away at the age of 82 on Wednesday, July 27, 
2016, at her daughter's home in Abbeville. 

She will be laid to rest in the St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum. 

Father Herb Bennerfield will be the Celebrant for the Mass and conduct the 
services. Serving as pallbearers will be Nathan P. Broussard, Conley Dutreix, 
David LaBruyere, Brian Fields, Evan St. Romain, Shawn LaBruyere, and Sammy 
Morgan.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday at Ibert's Mortuary in 
Patterson from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 
6:00 p.m., led by Mr. Melvin Vinning. Visitations will resume Monday at the 
church at 8:00 a.m. and will continue until Mass time at 11:00 a.m.

Survivors include her three children, Jessie B. Dutreix and her husband Conley, 
Jackie B. LaBruyere and her husband David, and Nathan P. Broussard and his wife 
Leslie; eight grandchildren, Nicole St. Romain, Evan St. Romain and his wife 
Monica, Shawn LaBruyere and his wife Kristie, Cami LaBruyere, Ashley Broussard, 
Kirstie Morgan and her husband Sammy, Brandon Gaudet and his wife Ashlea, and 
Magan Gaudet; ten great grandchildren; one great grandson; and three sisters-
in-law, Jane Fields, Ella Mae Brown, and Joy Rita Broussard.

She was preceded in death by her husband Phyac "PJ" Broussard; her parents, 
Ismael Remy and Eugené Maillard Remy; an infant son, Jody Broussard; a sister, 
Floria Costales; three brothers, Maurice, Pierre, and Felician Remy; a step-
son, Mark Broussard; one grandson, Carl J. Broussard; and one nephew 
(godchild), Newby Broussard, Jr.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc., 1111 Lia Street, 
Patterson, LA
