Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2016/sm1607.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Ira Anthony "Boogie" LaCoste, 71, a resident of Patterson, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Ira was born on November 7, 1944 in St. Mary Parish the son of Ira O. LaCoste and Lizetta Rink LaCoste. Ira was a devoted husband, father and grandfather to his family, he cherished the time that he got to spend with all of his family. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, but he enjoyed hunting alligators the most. Ira had the gift of gab and was a storyteller and absolutely loved telling stories to his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Tammy Written LaCoste of Patterson; five children, Troy LaCoste and wife Tonya, Wendy Deslatte and husband Farrell, Erik LaCoste, Shentelle Williams, John Thomas and wife Laurie; 11 grandchildren, Taylor LaCoste, Blake Orgeron, Jeremy Orgeron, Michelle Carter and husband Adam, Farrell Deslatte and wife Bridget, Brian LaCoste, Zoey LaCoste, Caden LaCoste, Austin Williams, Justin Thomas, Mikaela Thomas; 8 great grandchildren, Oliver Carter, Spencer Carter, Alexander Carter, Zane LaCoste, Bentlee Chautin, Karsyn Diggs, Adalyn Deslatte, Gabriella Deslatte; one sister, Barbara Ratcliff and husband Randolph. Ira was preceded in death by his parents, Ira O. LaCoste and Lizetta Rink LaCoste; one grandson, Chase LaCoste. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Berwick with Monsignor J. Douglas Courville celebrating. A visitation will be held prior to Mass from 9:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Twin City Funeral Home. Following Mass Ira will be laid to rest in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Patterson. ===================
