Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2016/sm1607.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at the Church of the Assumption during an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian burial for Mrs. Lena May Darcey Trahan. She will be laid to rest in the Franklin Cemetery Mausoleum. Father Lloyd Benoit will be the Celebrant for the Mass and conduct the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Carroll Trahan III, Glenn Louviere Jr., Arthur Louviere, Ryan Louviere, Ronald Trahan Jr., Matthew Trahan and Benjamin "Ben" Segura. A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday at Ibert's Mortuary from 9:00 a.m. until dismissal time at 10:30, with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 9:30 a.m. Lena May was the younger of two children born to the late Arthur Darcey and the late Lena LaFont Darcey. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed traveling and artwork. Lena was a longtime member of the Church of the Assumption in Franklin, where she also belonged to the Catholic Daughters, Court Assumption. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her husband, Carroll J. Trahan Sr.; her children, Carroll J. Trahan Jr. and his wife Denette, Catherine T. Louviere and her husband Glenn Sr., Ronald Trahan and his wife Theresa, Michael Trahan and his wife Mary, and Martha T. Nichols and her husband Larry; eight grandchildren, Carroll "Joey" Trahan III, Jennifer Segura, Jessica Trahan, Glenn Louviere Jr., Arthur Louviere, Ryan Louviere, Ronald "RJ" Trahan Jr., and Josephine "Josie" Trahan; and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Darcey and Lena LaFont Darcey; and her sister, Martha Robichaux.
