Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2016/sm1608.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Mazel Edna Loupe, a native of Bayou Chene and a resident of Morgan City passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at the age of 84. Mazel leaves to cherish her memory, her two daughters, Sharon Sweetser and her husband, Charles II, and Barbara Daigle and her husband, Nelson; eleven grandchildren, Angela Anslum and her husband, Eddie, Charles Sweetser III, Joe Cavalier and his wife, Shantell, Brett Bourgeois and his fiancé, Tally, Jennifer Bourgeois, Laci Bourgeois, Candace Strickland, Chris Loupe Jr., Jeremy Loupe, Josh Loupe, and Cody Loupe; twenty two great grandchildren Eddie Anslum Jr., Brodie Anslum, Ashley Cavalier, Andrew Cavalier, Breanna Bourgeois, Matthew Bourgeois, Darby Frickey, Kameron Francis, Ka'Miah Francis, Josh Bergeron, Tre Cleveland, Elijah Cleveland, Alyssa Strickland, Trinity Valentine, De'Angelo Valentine, Krislyn Vining, Jace Loupe, Journi Loupe, Chris Loupe III, Ava Loupe, Bailee Loupe, and Emma Loupe; and one sister, Norma Hotard. She joined in heaven her husband, Floyd Loupe; her parents, Theodore "Dote" and Azelia Lacoste; two children, Mary Strickland and Chris Loupe Sr.; and her brother, Jerrel LaCoste. Mazel was known for her enthusiasm during the Christmas Season. Her home was always lit up and decorated each and every year. Besides Christmas, she also immensely enjoyed putting a fishing pole in the water and reeling in catfish. Mazel and her husband once owned a shrimp boat named after her daughter, Lil Mary, and together the two would go out among the waterways to commercial fish. The family requests that visitation be observed on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 from 6pm to 9pm at and again on Wednesday, August 31st from 8am until time of dismissal at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City. A Mass of Christian Burial will tale place following visitation on Wednesday, August 31st at 11:00am at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Morgan City.
