Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2016/sm1608.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Funeral services for Lula Mae Dugas Peterson will be held Saturday, September 3, 2016, in Franklin at the Church of the Assumption during an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian burial. She will be laid to rest in the Franklin Cemetery Mausoleum. Father Lloyd Benoit will be the Celebrant for the Mass and conduct the services. A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday at Ibert's Mortuary in Franklin from 8:30 a.m. until time of dismissal, with the rosary being prayed at 9:45 a.m. Lula Mae was born in Charenton on October 30, 1925, the fourth of five children born to the late Alcee Dugas and the late Drucille Dugas. She was a former longtime resident of Franklin and has resided in Gonzales for the past 12 years, where she passed away at the age of 90 on Tuesday morning, August 30, 2016. Survivors include her children, Crystal P. Lanclos and her husband Murphy, Mark G. Peterson and his wife Cindy, Lisa P. Lee and her husband Billy, and Eric J. Peterson and his wife Ivy; 11 grandchildren, Todd Landry, Kelly White, Justin Lanclos, Ashley Wright, Ryan Peterson, Stephanie McKay, Bradley Pellerin II, Nathan Lee, Nicholas Lee, Erica Guiberteau, and Danielle Prestridge; and 22 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold A. Peterson; and her four siblings, Cline Dugas, Odette D. Bonds, Elmo Dugas, and Ruby D. Breaux. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Lula Mae's sitters, Janice, Alice, and Glory, as well as to the staffs of Azalea Estates of Gonzales and St. Joseph Hospice for the loving and compassionate care given to their mother.
