Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2017/sm1705.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 20, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the Bayou L'Ourse Baptist Church in Bayou L'Ourse for Eldrige Henry Dinger, Sr., a native of Berwick and former resident of Bayou L'Ourse who passed away at the age of 97 on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at the Patterson Healthcare Center. Bro. Jonah Callais will conduct the service. Following the service he will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Bayou L'Ourse Baptist Church on Friday, May 19, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and again Saturday, May 20, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. He is survived by three sons, Eldrige "Ed" Dinger, Jr. and his wife Arleen of Independence, Marvin Dinger and his wife Diana of Patterson, and Robbie Lemoine Dinger of Denver, CO; one brother, Bernie Dinger and his wife Anna Lee of Berwick; three sisters, Rosie Lancon of Youngsville, Vallie Barrilleaux of Morgan City, and Anita Lebouef and her husband Sherman of Houston, TX; as well as by numerous stepchildren, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and great great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Brodnax; his parents, Wilbert Eldrige Dinger and Bernice Ross Dinger; his stepmother, Anita Dupre Dinger; his brothers, Lloyd, Wilton, Wilbert, H.J., Elwood, and Vernal Dinger; his first wife, Nola Guillory Dinger; his second wife, Eugenia "Mim" Frederick Dinger; and his third wife, Audrey Scadlock Armond Dinger.
