Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2017/sm1705.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Funeral services for Ida Guidry Dupre will be held Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at St. Jules Catholic Church in Franklin during a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Father Peter Emusa will be the Celebrant for the Mass. Following the Mass she will be laid to rest in the Franklin Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Vincent Dupre, Gregg Gauthreaux, George Simpson, Brandon Gauthreaux, Austin Gray, and Benjamin Simpson. Ida was born to the late Emile Guidry Sr. and the late Celina Albert Guidry on April 10, 1926 in Verdunville where she was also raised. A 75 year resident of Franklin, some of her favorite pastimes included playing bingo, picking pecans and blackberries, making blackberry preserves and baking tea cakes, which she was well known for. On Monday, May 8, 2017, Ida passed away at the Franklin Health Care Center at the age of 91. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Those she leaves to cherish her memory include her son, Clarence A. Dupre Jr. of Franklin; four grandchildren, Vincent Dupre of Youngsville, Kathy Gauthreaux and her husband Gregg of New Iberia, Natalie D. Simpson and her husband George of Centerville, and Jenny Dupre of Sorrell; ten great grandchildren, Devin, Brandon, Maci, and Marissa Gauthreaux, Austin Gray, Benjamin and Chloe Simpson, and Harley, Raelyn, and Camryn Dupre; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence A. Dupre Sr.; and three brothers, Wilson "Bill" Guidry, Wilmo "Ponk" Guidry Sr., and Emile "Sonny" Guidry Jr. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc., 1007 Main Street, Franklin, LA ===================
