Funeral services for Juan R. Alers will be held Saturday, July 1, 2017, at 
Ibert's Mortuary in Franklin during a 2:00 p.m. memorial service. Pastor 
Ananias Pinto of Ministerio Cielos Abierto (Open Heaven Ministry) in Morgan 
City will officiate the service. A gathering of family and friends will begin 
Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Ibert's.

Juan was a native of San Sebastian, Puerto Rico and a resident of Franklin for 
the past seven years who passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 26, 2017, at 
the age of 43. He was a loving father, amazing husband, and wonderful son, 
brother, uncle, and friend. If you knew him you loved him. Juan loved everyone 
he met and would give his very last to help someone out. He was employed with 
Stranco Solid Waste Management Company in New Iberia for the past two years and 
will be fondly remembered as a hardworking, generous, kindhearted man. He will 
be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to have known him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of nine years, Yaritza Ramos 
Alers; his two children, Juashyra Alers and Juamil Alers; his father, Ignacio 
Alers; one brother, Ignacio Alers; one sister, Daisy Alers; two nephews, 
Ignacio Alers and Gabriel Ramos; and three nieces, Keishla Ramos, Mariana 
Alers, and Gamichelle Ramos.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ana Ruiz.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc., 1007 Main Street, 
Franklin, LA
