All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgenweb.org/volunteers/copyright.shtml ======================================================================= BAKER, KENDALL MICHA November 26, 1965 ~ June 7, 2017 (age 51) Kendall Micha Baker, 51, a resident and native of Franklin, LA passed away on Wednesday June 7, 2017 at 2:43 PM at the Leonard Chabert Medical Center in Houma, LA. Visitation will be observed on Saturday June 17, 2017 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Verdunville, La. at 11:00 AM, with Father Peter Emusa serving as the Celebrant. Kendall Micha Baker was born November 26, 1965 to the proud parents of Wrophas Kendall and Magnolia Ricardo Baker. Kendall was born in Franklin, LA and spent the first eight years of his schooling in Chicago, IL, where he often talked of visiting the museums and cultural activities that he was exposed to in Chicago. He had one sibling, Kevin Mark Baker. They grew up very close to each other. Kendall was an active sportsman, playing various sports throughout his school years. His children inherited his sportsmanship and athletic abilities. Upon finishing high school, he attended LSU in Baton Rouge and later DePaul University in Chicago, IL. In 1994, he married the love of his life, Raquel Noel Bogan and to that union four beautiful children were born: Micah Christian (21), Noel Patricia (18), Camille Alexandra (15) and Gabriel Whitney (12). He lived his life through the eyes of his children. His work experience consisted of ARCO, working with his uncle, UPS in Chicago, Xerox Business Services in New Orleans for more than 12 years, then Diversified Health Services for 4 years. After the devastating loss of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, he relocated to Verdunville then Franklin, where he worked at Oceaneering International, Enterprise Gas and Crown Oilfield Services. His favorite pastimes were spending time with his family and friends, attending his children’s sporting events and fishing. He will be remembered by his storytelling and ability to entertain and make others laugh. He loved all sports, especially football and basketball and was an avid New Orleans Saints fan. He loved music and had eclectic taste, listening to all genres of music. Kendall loved life and celebrated those moments to the fullest. He leaves to celebrate his life, his parents (Nola and Kendall), his wife of 22 years (Raquel), his four loving children (Micah, Noel, Camille and Gabriel), his brother and his family (Kevin, Maria, Halie and Hannah), his paternal grandmother (Gwendolyn “Mother Dear” Sippial), and a host of relatives and friends. Kendall, affectionately known as “Poppa”, “Big Hank” and “Dad”, will live in the hearts and minds of his family, friends and especially his children, never to be forgotten.
