Avery Donald Metrejean, 35, a resident of Morgan City, passed away Monday June 
12, 2017 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.

Avery was born on December 6, 1981 in Houma the son of Avery Donald Harford and 
Trudy Metrejean.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his mother, Trudy Metrejean 
Sanford of Morgan City; his father, Avery Donald Harford of Fort Lauderdale, 
Florida; one brother, Christopher Metrejean and wife Mirada of Conroe, Texas; 
two sisters, Tara Harford of Morgan City and Shawna Martinez and husband John 
of Shepherd, Texas; his paternal grandfather, Duke Harford. Avery is also 
survived by four nieces, Arianna Daigle, Brittiany Pittman, Christina Pittman, 
Tabitha Martinez; three nephews, Christopher Metrejean, Ryan Martinez, Clayton 
Martinez.

Avery was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ulysses Metrejean and 
Roseanna Verrett Gros; paternal grandmother, Rafaela “Faye” Garcia Harford; one 
aunt, Norma Gros; one uncle, Clarence “Poncho” Gros Jr.

A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, 
June 17, 2017 at Twin City Funeral Home with a memorial service being held at 
7:00 p.m.
