Thompson, 38, a resident of Morgan City, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Teche Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Heath was born on June 16, 1978 in Morgan City, the son of Howard J. Thompson Jr. and Karen Barrilleaux. Heath loved to be in the outdoors soaking up the sunlight and navigating the waterways in his boat. He loved tinkering with model race boats. He loved his family and friends and loved being together with them especially when it was time to have a meal together. Of all the things that Heath did in his life his number one priority was his son Heath Jr. whom he loved so much. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Kimber Coldewey Thompson of Berwick; one son, Heath B. Thompson Jr. of Berwick; mother, Karen Barrilleaux of Bayou Vista; one brother, Jesse B. Thompson of Savannah, Georgia; one sister, Holli Crochet and husband Chad of Morgan City; three nephews, Dylon Chellette, Dustin Chellette and Aubrey J. Daigle III. Heath is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Vallie D. Barrilleaux; mother-in- law, Melissa Burke and husband Edwin; father-in-law, Keith Coldewey; two brothers-in-law, Milton J. Barrilleaux III and Mason T. Barrilleaux. Heath was preceded in death by his father, Howard J. Thompson Jr.; maternal grandfather, Milton J. Barrilleaux Sr.; paternal grandparents, Howard J. Thompson Sr. and Dolly Fabre Thompson. In keeping with Heath's wishes there will be no services. ===================
