NECROLOGICAL.

Mrs. Lynch, an old and respected lady, died at the residence of her son, 
Capt. Hugh Lynch, in Franklin, last Saturday night, at the age of 87 years. 
Her remains were taken to Patterson last Sunday for interment. The BANNER 
extends its sympathy to the afficted (sic) family. -- The St. Mary Banner.


In Memoriam.

Mrs. Margaret Curtis Lynch died at the home of her son, Capt. Hugh Lynch, in 
Franklin, Nov. 30th, 1901. The funeral took place in Patterson, Dec. 1st, at 
four o'clock p. m.

She was born in Woodbridge, New Jersey, on June 14th, 1814. Her early 
childhood was spent in New York, whence her family moved to Virginia, with 
which state she was always pleased to identify herself, and where the 
greater part of her life was spent, until her marriage with Mr. Richrad 
(sic) Lynch, a Virginian by birth, but a pioneer settler of St. Mary Parish. 
Two children, a boy and a girl, blessed this union, the girl died in 
childhood.

She united with the Methodist Church early in life, and was ever a zealous 
worker in the same. An intelligent, christian woman, ever unselfish, strong 
and true. The influence of her life is like the setting of the sun, whose 
light and warmth is felt after the source is hid from our view. A noble 
indulgent mother; a kind and affectionate grandmother; true and thoughtful 
friend has reaped her reward, for long and useful labors in the vineyard of 
her Master.
