Morey, mayor of the town of Patterson, died on last Monday. He settled in that town about thirty years ago. By his ability and fair dealing in public and private life, he soon obtained among his fellow-citizens and envible position of merit. He was a leader in the business affairs in that town. Years ago at the organization of the Bank of Patterson he was made its cashier. When Patterson was incorporated he was appointed by the Governor its mayor and his people retained him in that position until his death. source: The Weekly Iberian.
