(Franklin, Attakapas Co., Lou.) 1849-1872, September 14, 1870, Image 2 OBITUARY. Mr. W. J. Nash died at his residence near Pattersonville, Aug., 13th, 1870, aged 71 years, a native of Millsbero, N. C., for 30 years a resident of this Parish. Mr. Nash's last illness was short and severe, but that God to whom he had given himself so faithfully, did not desert him in his trying hour. He was a warm hearted (sic), hospitable Christian gentleman, the centre (sic) of a large circle and greatly esteemed by many friends. We deeply sympathize with the afflicted family. But he who has taken the father, will take care of the orphans. Embalmed in our hearts be his virtues.
