She also told me the following: In 1812, Andrew Jackson and his men were on their way to New Orleans, and camped out at Sunny Brook, near Covington. A cholera epidemic broke out, and several men died, and were buried in this cemetery. Two other men were hung and buried here, also Carter Wallace and William Wallace were two of Jackson’s men, and they made their home in Covington after the war.
