Mott; the sister of the late Otis Heintz and Bert Heintz; and the grandmother of seven grandchildren. A memorial service was held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Covington Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Covington Presbyterian Church. E.J. Fielding Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Alvin Keys MADISONVILLE -- Alvin Keys died Sept. 30, 2000. He was 76 years of age. He was a native and lifelong resident of Madisonville. He was a carpenter and a member of Carpenter's Local Union No. 1846 and the Smokin Gun Hunting Club. He was the husband of Mamie B. Keys; the father of Greta Faciane; the grandfather of one grandchild; and the great-grandfather of one great-grandchild. She was a graduate of Alma College and she served on the board of directors for several local entities, including the New Orleans Museum of Art, the Orleans Gallery, The Repertory Theatre, the St. Tammany Heart Association, the Tangipahoa Parish American Red Cross and American Cancer Society, the National and International American Needlepoint Guilds and the Louisiana Council of Music and The Performing Arts. She was a founder of the American Needlepoint Guild and pieces of her needlework appear at the United Nations Building, the Chicago Botanical Garden, the Daughters of the American Revolution Museum and the National Cathedral. She was the mother of John Graham and Shirley G. Wiginton; the sister of Lyn Cappaert; the grandmother of eight grandchildren; the great-grandmother of 14 great-grandchildren; and the great-great-grandmother of two great-great-grandchildren.
