A funeral service will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. in the chapel of E.J. Fielding Funeral Home in Covington. Interment will be in Biloxi National Cemetery, Biloxi, Miss. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. today with a Masonic Service to begin at 7 p.m. FONTENOT 04/02/01 FONTENOT COVINGTON - Avanels "Bee" Fontenot died Thursday, March 29, 2001. He was 70 years old. He was a native of Eunice, a longtime resident of Covington and a self-employed carpenter. He was the husband of Peggy B. Fontenot; the father of Jacqueline Flake and Nannette G. Fontenot; the son of the late Eugee Fontenot and Eva Atmond; and the brother of Anthony D. Fontenot, Berkman Fontenot, Clarence D. Fontenot, Rayford Fontenot, Helena Hebert, Hazel Higgenbotham and Genevia Thibodeaux. A funeral service was held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of E.J. Fielding Funeral Home in Covington. Interment was in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens. DOMEC 04/04/01 COVINGTON - Anna Kastler Domec died Sunday, April 1, 2001. She was 75 years old. She was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Covington for the past 25 years. She was a founding member of St. Philip's Episcopal Church in New Orleans, where she was a president of the Altar Guild. She was also president of the Home Demonstration Club and the Aurora Garden Club. She was the wife of John D. Domec; the mother of Jon A. Domec of Florence, Ky., and Allison L.D. Wood of Mandeville; the brother of Joan K. Parsons of Baton Rouge, Sarah K. Howard of Greeley, Colo., and Arthur M. Kastler of New Orleans; and the grandfather of two grandchildren. Douglas, Richard B. Douglas, David M. Douglas, Rosanne D. Blackwell and the late Michael Douglas; the sister of Marie A. Corkern and the late Carolyn A. Tyrney; the grandmother of 25 grandchildren; and the great-grandmother of 28 great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held Saturday at noon in the chapel of E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covington. Interment was in Michael A. Douglas and Family Cemetery. FUSELIER 04/10/01 ST. BENEDICT - Robert Howe Fuselier Jr. died April 4, 2001. He was 72 years old. He was a native of New Orleans and resident of Mandeville for the past 30 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving as a communications officer and a crypto officer on submarines. He was a former member of the St. Tammany Parish Council and the St. Tammany School Board. He was a retired district manager of McNeil Pharmaceuticals and a parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. He was the husband of Mary G. Fuselier; the father of Annette Fuselier, Robert H. Fuselier III, Marie E.F. Cahal, Cecile F. Dean, Denise F. Stansbury and Alyce F. Cazayoux; the brother of Dr. Monica McGauley, Louis A. Fuselier and Richard A. Fuselier; and the grandfather of 12 grandchildren. A funeral Mass was held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of St. Joseph Abbey in St. Benedict. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Louise D. Ross; and the sister of Alvin L. Ross and the late Louis D. Ross. A funeral service was held Tuesday at noon in the chapel of E.J. Fielding Funeral Home in Covington. Interment was in Pinecrest Mausoleum. OWENS 04/16/01 COVINGTON - Wilma Madge Glasscock Owens died April 11, 2001. She was 93 years old. She was a native of Miller, Mo., and a resident of Covington for the past 40 years. She was a graduate of Drury College in Springfield, Mo., a former schoolteacher and a former director of Charity Hospital's nurse's dormitory. She was a member of Covington Presbyterian Church and Tau Kappa Gamma sorority and was an accomplished porcelain and china painter. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Owens Sr.; the mother of Vikki Aries of Long Beach, N.Y., Robert E. Owens Jr. and John D. Owens Sr., both of Covington; the daughter of the late James H. Glasscock and Susie Brown; the sister of Marjorie L. Myers and the late Karl B. Glasscock, Joe M. Glasscock, Hardin Glasscock and Laura K. Burns; the grandmother of nine grandchildren; and the great-grandmother of seven great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held Friday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Madisonville Presbyterian Church. Schenck; the sister of Edward Kohler and Anna Klackowski; the grandmother of four grandchildren; and the great-grandmother of nine great-grandchildren. He was a native of Bush, a longtime resident of Covington and a retired utility operator for the City of Covington. He was the husband of Gladys S. Lavinghouse; the father of Peggy L. Parker of Powhatan, Va.; the brother of Robert Lavinghouse of Bogalusa and the late Hayden Lavinghouse and Norman Lavinghouse; and the grandfather of one grandchild. She was a former women's chairman of the United Way and a former president of women of the church at Broadmoor Presbyterian Church of Shreveport. She was the wife of P. Philip Stagg; the mother of Mary S. Vinson of Mandeville and Philip W. "Buzz" Stagg of Minneapolis, Minn.; and the grandmother of four grandchildren. She was a resident of Mandeville. She was the wife of the late Carlo Palmere Sr.; the mother of Carlo Palmere Jr. and Joseph S. MCDONALD 04/30/01 MANDEVILLE - Lovell McDonald died April 24, 2001. He was 77 years old. He was a native of Georgetown, Miss. and a resident of Mandeville for the past 45 years. He was a former pipefitter for Prestressed Concrete Company and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. During the war, he earned the Victory Medal and two Bronze Stars. He was the husband of Martha R. McDonald; the father of Alex McDonald, Mary Ann McDonald and Hilda McDonald, all of Mandeville; the stepfather of Moses Cooper of Slidell; the grandfather of 11 grandchildren; and the great-grandfather of three great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Morning Star Baptist Church in Mandeville. Interment was in Mandeville City Cemetery under the direction of Vickers Northshore Funeral Home.
