David leaves behind his loving wife of 35 years, Anong Talley, and their two children, James and Nunda Talley. Grandfather of Caitlyn and Justin Talley. Son of Mary Helen Talley and Russel Talley Sr. Brother of Russel Talley Jr., Mary Talley, Wesley Talley Sr. and Andrew Talley. Known to his friends as "Redeye", David was a lifelong trucker and a devoted employee of David Huval Trucking. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Also survived by brother William Peck and wife Laura, step uncle to Adair and Eric Oesterle of California. Son-in-law of Josephine and Anthony Romano of Wood River Illinois. Brother- in-law of Mary Jo Buesteton and husband Joel, and uncle to Kyle and Sarah Buesteton of Alton, Illinois. Preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Dorothy Bush Peck and brother Robert Peck. Captain Peck was born in Joliet, Illinois in 1935, raised in Mason City Iowa and attended State University of Iowa, Iowa City before enlisting in the Navy. He earned his wings in Pensacola, Florida and was assigned to the Navy Air Station, North Island San Diego, California and flew with the Navy Air Force Pacific West off aircraft carriers. He was hired by Delta Airlines in 1963 and retired in 1994. He proudly served his country in both the Air Force and Navy Reserve before his hire with Delta and until 1972. He lived life to the fullest, was compassionate and supportive to many and loved by his friends. He enjoyed duck and deer hunting, but his favorite sport was fishing. He enjoyed spending time between his two camps in Delacroix and Port Eads on his boat the Sea Pecker. He was passionate about football and engaged in many friendly wagers during the season. Like "Buddy D" he would have loved to be a part of the WHO DAT NATION this season. He was a member of Airline Pilots Association, Gulf Coast Conservation Association, and the Delta Pioneers. The family would like to express their most sincere thanks and gratitude to the Pontachartrain staff for their exceptional care and respect, untiring kindness and attention to Charley and his wife during his five year stay with them. A special thanks also, to Community Care Hospice for their care of Charley in his final days, and support to his wife. His service was private but a celebration of life will be scheduled early summer. She was born May 12, 1921, in Covington, and retired from the old AT&T Telephone Co. Helen loved and raised beautiful daylilies all her retired life. Survivors include three sons, Charles Ray Jenkins of Hot Springs Village, Ark., Gary Stephen Jenkins of Mandeville and Thomas Eric and Brenda Jenkins of Bush; a daughter and son-in-law, Dolores Diane and John Randolph Carter of Madisonville; one sister and brother-in-law, Grace Viola (James) Jarrell; one brother and sister-in-law, William and Emogene Meyers of Covington; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. England, retiree and former president and founder of Allied Adjusters, Inc., an independent insurance adjusting firm in Baton Rouge, New Orleans and Metairie, Louisiana, and Detroit, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at home in Beau Chene, Mandeville, Louisiana. He was 83 years old. Les, a United States Army veteran of World War II, 3rd Infantry Division, served in France and Germany. Honorably discharged from the Army in 1948, Les attended Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts and became affiliated with Traders and General Insurance Company, Dallas, Texas and Shreveport, Louisiana. He joined the J. Ed Morneau Insurance Claims Service in Shreveport prior to opening his own firm. He participated in conferences of insurance associations, was a member of Colonial Country Club in Harahan, Louisiana, and contributed to civic and cultural organizations in New Orleans. In 2001 he retired to Mandeville. He is survived by his beloved wife, Eugenie Howes England, formerly of Dennis, Cape Cod, three sons, Dr. Leslie (Lee) E. England of Natchez, Mississippi, David A. England and his wife Thais of Oregon, John A. Barret is survived by his parents, Anne and Robert Lehman, his brother, Ben, his sister and her husband, Lisa and Keith Bertrand, a niece, Jordan Bertrand, his grandmothers, Yvonne Lehman and Marie Julie Lawton; his aunts and uncles, Linda and Lane Wharton, Richard and Judy Lehman, Roger Lehman, and Mary Pat and Don Landry; and his 16 first and second cousins. Barret was born on January 27, 1983 in New Orleans, Louisiana, and grew up in Mandeville. As a young boy, Barret enjoyed Indian Guides with his father and brother, Ben. He wrestled for St. Paul's wrestling team and was a member of the ROTC Program at Mandeville High. Graduating from Mandeville High in 2001, he attended Millsaps College on a Millsaps Award Scholarship which he received based on his academic performance and extracurricular achievements. Barret's college education was interrupted when he was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma in 2003. Despite his illness, Barret participated in his social fraternity, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, enjoyed summer study programs in Mexico and Costa Rica, drove his M3 on a coast to coast car rally while taking a short reprieve from his chemotherapy treatment, and in 2008, received his degree from Millsaps. Barret had an encyclopedic knowledge and love of exotic cars. He also had a fondness for lobster, beignets, twisty doughnuts, and turtle soup. At home, his love was shared with Goiter, his pot bellied pig, and his two dogs, Paco and Scooby. Throughout his ordeal, he always remained witty, grateful, courageous, and deeply concerned for all those around him. Funeral Services are private. He served on active duty as an officer in the U.S. Army and achieved the rank of captain. He was a member of the Louisiana Bar Association, New Orleans Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, American Bar Association, and the Louisiana Bankers' Association. After his retirement, he was active in Alternative Dispute Resolution through the American Arbitration Association and the New Orleans Bar Association. After the war they resided in San Francisco until he concluded naval service, when they returned to Louisiana. In Shreveport while Everette worked for United Gas (later Pennzoil) she provided a loving home for him and their two daughters, Beverly and Susan. They also resided in Jackson, MS, Pensacola, FL, and Houston, TX. In 1986 she and Everette moved to Mandeville to be near Susan and her husband, Dr. B. Steele Rolston and 5 grandchildren: Carrie Kathleen Rolston, Laney Brice Rolston, Lauren Rolston Jacob, Brice Steele Rolston, and Blake Stokes Rolston.
