BIRCHETT, GEORGIA MAE 
January 16, 1934 - June 29, 2010 	

Mrs. Georgia Mae Birchett, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-
grandmother, was born on January 16, 1934 and passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 
2010 after a courageous battle with cancer at her residence surrounded by her 
loving family. She was 76, a resident of Ponchatoula, and retired from JC Penney 
of Hammond.

Mrs. Georgia is survived by her husband, Darrell Birchett of 55 1/2 years; 
daughters, Ivy & Michael Pullis of West Bloomfield, MI; Alyce & James Wingett of 
Ponchatoula; Dara & Patrick Mercier of Waterford, MI; Kelly & Terry Brumfield of 
Independence, LA; son, Eric & Jan Birchett of Waterford, MI; sister, Lorene & 
James Fuehrmeyer of Indiana. Also survived by 15 grandchildren and 37 great-
grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Freeland & Hazel Emig, 1 grandson and 2 
great-granddaughters.
