David was born to the late Lennius and Vivian Burrell, June 20, 1942, in Townawanda, N.Y. He graduated from Amherst High School in 1960 and attended the University of Buffalo in New York. He married Mary Ruth White Aug. 17, 1963, and they lived in Buffalo, N.Y., Spartenburg, S.C., Baton Rouge and Slidell. David was a pipe designer and business owner over the course of his career, including the owner/operator of The Home Design Shoppe in St. Tammany Parish. He was an active member of Journey Fellowship of Slidell. He also attended New Jerusalem Praise and Worship Center, The Harvest Church of Slidell and Church of the King in Mandeville. David was an avid student of the Bible and loved to study and write commentaries on the word. He was a devout man who loved his family and friends very much. He is survived by his wife and two sons, Stephen M Burrell and his wife Jeannie Bell Burrell and Andrew M. Burrell and his wife, Wendy Farrell Burrell; sister, Ruth B. Davis; granddaughter, Natalie Elizabeth Gremillion and her husband Blaine Paul Gremillion Jr.; grandson, Gary Eugene Sleap, his finance Heather Schemanski, and their son, Silas Elijah Schemanski. David is also survived by his grandsons, Korey Nathan Burrell, Aaron Michael Burrell, Tyler Andrew Burrell and Dillion Mark Burrell; and brother-in-law, Lawerence White of Hilton, N.Y., as well as numerous nieces and nephews located all over the United States. The family will be having an open house from 6:30-8 p.m. today at the home of David and Mary Burrell in Mandeville. ===================
