Doucette, 87, departed this life Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at Slidell Memorial Hospital. He was born Jan. 23, 1923, to the late Edward and Victoria Doucette. He married Elenora Page May 24, 1943, and from this union three children were born, Edmond, Sylvia and Curtis. Warren joined the U.S. Army Jan. 15, 1943 and served as a private first class in the 469th Aviation Squadron. He was discharged Oct. 28, 1945 and received the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign, Good Conduct and World War II Victory medals. He worked at Southern Shipyard and retired after many years of service. He was a lifelong parishioner of St. Genevieve Catholic Church. He was a member of St. Genevieve's Men's Club, the Golden Age Club and the Happy Go Lucky Club. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 67 years, Elenora; three children, Edmond Doucette (Crystal), Curtis Doucette (Rochelle) and Syvia Doucette-Waits (Donald); seven grandchildren, Adoria M. Doucette, Alethia Doucette-Collins (Darrell), Brett L. Waits (Waree), Lisa M. Doucette, Desmond Doucette, Byron Waits and Courtney Doucette; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great- grandchild. He also leaves behind three brothers, Adrian, Joseph and Victor (Gertrude) Doucette. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Hazel Lawrence and three brothers, Herman, Herbert Paul and Albert Doucette Sr. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. tomorrow at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1050 Robert Blvd., Slidell. Visitation is from 9-11 a.m. Interment will be in the Dubuisson Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are by Doyle Funeral Home, Slidell. ===================
