Beloved husband of 57 years to Opal James Grapes, they were married in Cheyenne, WY; loving father to Brendy Guillory and her husband Vince, and Susan Roden and her husband Steve; grandfather to Vincent, Jr., Ryan and Jenny Guillory and Ashley and Kaitlin Roden; and great-grandfather of Cy and Shailaja. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Agnes Grapes, who were ranchers in Wyoming. Age 86 years, he was a native of Goshen County, WY, a former resident of Mandeville for 30 years, and a current resident of Raceland, LA for the past 2 1/2 years. Bob was a rancher and a World War II veteran having served in the U.S. Army. He was a life member of VFW Post 8720 in Abita Springs, a former member of American Legion Post 16 in Covington, a member of the Mandeville Lion's Club, and a member of Memorial United Methodist Church in Mathews, LA. Bob was a petroleum Engineer for Chevron Oil Company for some 25 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at St. Timothy United Methodist Church, 335 Asbury Drive, Mandeville, LA on Friday, June 25, 2010 at 10:00 AM. Visitation AT THE CHURCH will begin at 9:00 AM on Friday. Interment will follow services in the Mandeville Mausoleum with Military Honors. ===================
