Terrell Eugene Harbin, 84, of Tyler, Texas, passed away June 15, 2010, in a 
local nursing center. 

He was born Aug. 24, 1925 in Eastland County, Texas to the late Tillman and Mae 
Harbin. He was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church. He retired from Texaco 
after 32 years. Terrell held various positions with Texaco in Texas and 
Louisiana, and retired as a divisions material manager. He served in the South 
Pacific while on duty with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He received his 
bachelor's degree from Baylor University.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Melba Louise Harbin, of Tyler; 
daughters, Rita Turner and husband Steve of Tyler and CoAnn Lathem and husband 
Steve of Austin; brothers, Melvin Harbin of San Angeleno, Texas and Kenneth 
Harbin of Dallas and grandchildren and spouses Robert and Wendy Rounsavall and 
Carrie and Michael Murphy. He was preceded in death by brother, Stanley Harbin.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow in Burks Walker Tippit Chapel, with 
nephew Kern Railsback officiating. The family will receive friends at the 
funeral home one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in the Rose Hill 
Cemetery, under the direction of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home. 

Memorials may be made to Care and Share Class at Green Acres Baptist Church.
