Carol Ann Brown Higgins, 69, passed away Friday, June 4, 2010 in Dallas.

She was the beloved wife of the late Michael "Scotty" Higgins; mother of 
Michelle Stuyvesant and husband Eric of Garland, Texas; daughter of the late 
Alven and Dee Brown and sister of Elaine Bordelon, Lois Gros, Lettie Campisi and 
Alven "Sonny" Brown Jr. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Elaine, Paul 
and Patrick La BruyŽre and Kristian, Phillip and Nicholas Stuyvesant.

She was a native of Marrero and a resident of Slidell since 1972. She was a 
former bookkeeper for Security Industrial Insurance Co. of New Orleans. She was 
a parishioner of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Slidell and a past 
president of the Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion Post 185, Slidell.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation from 5-
8 p.m. today at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. W (in Forest Lawn 
Cemetery), Slidell. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow 
at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1050 Robert Blvd., Slidell. Interment will 
follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. 

Donations to the American Cancer Society at cancer.org are preferred in lieu of 
flowers.
