Clayton Harold Neal, 58, the pastor of the Mount Zion Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church in Covington, transcended the streams of time and entered into the eternal realms of eternal rest Saturday, May 22, 2010. He was preceded in death by his father, the Rev. Wilker Neal; and his maternal grandmother, Lorraine Smith Taylor. He is survived by his mother Elouise Neal; two daughters, Trina Marie Payne and Brittni Epps; two sons, Loranzo Dillon and DeShaun Burk, and four grandchildren. In addition to being a dynamic preacher, the Rev. Neal was an accomplished musician. He served as minister of music, organist and director for many churches, national artists and at local state conventions and associations. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the religious services at 9 a.m. tomorrow at Mount Zion Pilgrim Missionary Church, 409 W. 30th St., Covington. Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. today at the church, followed by a musical celebration of the Rev. Neal's life at 7 p.m. Interment will be in the Providence Memorial Park.
