A native of Ithaca, N.Y., he grew up in Watkins Glen, N.Y., and later resided in Slidell for the past 30 years. Sullivan worked for Shepard Niles Crane & Hoist in Montour Falls, N.Y. for 17 years and worked in the construction field in Slidell until his retirement. He will especially be missed by his four daughters, to whom he dedicated his life. They will miss their "knight-in-shining-armor." He was the son of the late Edward Vincent Sullivan and Cornelia Presser Sullivan; and father of Kathreen Mendoza of Fort Smith, Ark., Kathleen Fandal of Pearl River, Gail Chiri of Garyville and Patricia Massaker of Paso Robles, Calif. Also, he was the father-in-law of Kevin Chiri, Carl Fandal, Brad Massaker, and Hector Mendoza. He was the brother of Richard Sullivan of Berkshire, NY, and the late John Sullivan, Edward Sullivan, Robert Sullivan, Rita Newhart, and Genevieve Cratsenburg. In addition, he was the grandfather of Kaleena Massaker, Christina Smith, Jennifer Weisheit, Victoria Chiri, Kevin Chiri Jr. and Amber Gaiennie; and great-grandfather of Abby Weisheit, Zachary Weisheit Jr., Jerry Smith III, and Marshall Smith. A memorial service will be held at noon tomorrow at Grace Memorial Baptist Church in Slidell Kevin Chiri will officiate. ===================
