(December 25, 1927 - June 25, 2010) JOSEPH EDWARD "ED" WILLIS JR, of Slidell, LA, entered into eternal life on Friday, June 25, 2010, at home. He was a retired engineer and master carpenter. Born December 25, 1927 in Early County, Georgia, he was a resident of Slidell for 48 years, a U.S. Army World War II Veteran, and an avid bowler. Mr. Willis was preceded in death by his wife of fifty years Laura Annette Willis, and two children: Lance Willis and Larry Willis. He is survived by seven children: Lamar Willis, Myra Radosta, Leonard "Lenny" Willis, Lynn Willis, Marvin Willis, Glen Willis, and Anthony "Tony" Willis. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Ed always considered all his friends as family, and never let anyone leave him without an "I love you", and "I'll see you if the Lord says the same". A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 5, 2010, at 10:00am at Bowling USA in Slidell. Donations to: Breast Cancer Research preferred, in lieu of flowers. ===================
