Lloyd April, 78, of Pearl River, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2010. 

He was a member of the Retirees club with Local 130 for 57 years, a member of 
the Ft. Pike Volunteer Fire Department and a member of Sts. Peter and Paul 
Catholic Church in Pearl River.

He is survived by his two children, Alvin April and Tammy Dennis; three 
stepchildren, Barry Darby, Dale Darby and Bridget Messman; sister, Helen Adema; 
10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma April; his parents, Alvin and 
Josephine April; two sisters, Doris Benson and Shirley Shell; and eight 
brothers; Kenneth, Leslie, Earl, Nolan, Gordon, John, Irwin and Alvin G. April 
Jr.

Funeral services were held yesterday at D.T. Williams Funeral Home, Pearl River 
with the Rev. Tom McCain officiating. Interment was in Hickory Memorial Gardens.
