RICKY J. "RICK" BANKSTON, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2010 
at Ochsner Northshore Medical Center in Slidell, LA.

Beloved husband of Anne Everard Bankston for the past 39 years. Father of Amanda 
Bankston and Lauren and husband Rob Canty. Son of Ronald J. Bankston, Sr. and 
the late Gloria L. Nami. Step-son of Lynn Bankston. Brother of Ronald J. 
Bankston, Jr., Edward Bankston, Mike, Asa and David Nami. Son-in-law of Jennie 
and Hurley Everard. Brother-in-law of Jann Tilley, David and Carmel Everard, 
Elliott and Angie Everard. Uncle of Rebecca, Brian, Dustin, Taylor, Blake, Jack, 
Adrienne, Alex, Jordan and Emily. Also survived by 2 grandchildren; Madeline 
Pichon and Isaac Canty.

Age 57 years; a native of New Orleans and a resident of Slidell for the past 39 
years, Mr. Bankston was an Insurance Agent for Security Industrial Insurance Co. 
in New Orleans, LA. He served his country in the US Navy as a Seabee, he was a 
private pilot and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lacombe, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a funeral mass at 
Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 28088 Main Street, Lacombe, LA on Friday, July 16, 
2010 at 11:00am. Visitation will be held at church from 9:00am until mass time. 
Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.
