She was the beloved wife of the late W. Drew "Bill" Bushnell, "the icing on her cake." Ruth was born at home on Banks Street in New Orleans Aug. 15,1922, to her parents Olivia Hellmers Stall and John E. Stall Sr. She grew up there with her beloved siblings, Henry Norman Stall, Beryl Stall LaBruyere and the late John E. Stall Jr. Ruth attended McMain High School and Newcomb College. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas J. Gordon Jr. , who was the father of her children, Brian W. Gordon, Barbara G. Leitz and husband Larry, Barry T. Gordon Sr., Becky G. Brown and husband John, Belle G. Wadge and husband Glen. She was the proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren Bonnie G. Parker and Scott Gordon; Larry, Gordon and Luke Leitz; Paige G. Robertson and Barry Gordon Jr.; Shaun Brown; Caroline and Carson Wadge; and 13 great-grandchildren. She lived in Metairie for many years where she was an active member of Metairie Ridge Presbyterian Church. She retired from Minerals Management Service in 1989. She moved to the Northshore in 1996 and joined Pearl River United Methodist Church. She was also a member of Newcomers, NARF, Keenagers, XYZ and Grown Ups organizations. A celebration of Ruth's life will be held at 7 p.m. today at PRUMC. In lieu of flowers donations to PRUMC's Building Fund would be welcomed. ===================
