Alton L. Cooper passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2010. 

He was born February 7, 1925 in Orange, TX to the late Dan E. and Alice Wager 
Cooper and was a life resident of Madisonville.

The beloved husband of the late Elaine DeMarb Cooper, he is survived by two 
daughters, Linda Jarrell and Theresa Bennett; one son, Alton L. "Ike" Cooper, 
Jr.; one sister, Eva Jean Marcel; 10 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 3 
great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers: Dan E., B.L. and James Allen Cooper; 
two sisters, Kathleen Luke and Corrine LeBouef and two grandsons, Raymond and 
Doss Jarrell.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend funeral services at 
2:00 PM on Monday, July 19, 2010 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st 
Ave., Covington, LA 70433.

Visiting hours will begin at 12:00 Noon.

Interment at Theo Dendinger Cemetery in Madisonville will immediately follow 
services.
