She was the beloved wife of the late Mr. George Douglass; mother of George Douglass Jr. (Molly), Stephen L. Douglass (Michelle) and the late Elaine D. Jones and Diane D. Fisher. Bammie, as she was known to her family and friends, is survived by her nine grandchildren, Stephen Douglass (Nancy), Kevin Douglass, Ben Eshleman (Melissa), Corrine Eshleman, Molly D. Hadden (Corky), Lainey Jones, Melissa D. Steiner (Jerry), Michelle D. Tyler (Doug) and Kelly D. Silverman (Scott) and her late grandson Keith Douglass. She is also survived by her 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Therese and Carl Friedrichs and sister to the late Mildred Charles, Hilda Friedrichs, Carl Friedrichs, Louis G. Friedrichs, Sam Friedrichs, Eugenie (Jinx) LeDoux, and Katherine (Chubby) Poole. She is survived by her sisters Marietta Hansbrough and Dixie Robinson. Bammie was a native New Orleanian who spent her later years in Mandeville. She was an avid gardener who loved the outdoors and was active in the Garden Club. She was a faithful parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake Church in Mandeville and enjoyed her time as a senior provider for the elderly parishioners. Her greatest joy was being with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and will be dearly missed by them all. The family would like to give special thanks to Lillian Blackwell, Janelle Cook, Barbara Daward, and Karen Troyani for their devoted care and friendship over the past year. A funeral Mass was held yesterday at St. Francis Xavier Church, 400 Metairie Road, Metairie. Interment was in Metairie Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations preferred to Our Lady of the Lake Church, 312 Lafitte St., Mandeville, LA 70448. ===================
