Jonathan accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age at First Church of God and Christ in New Orleans. He continued his spiritual life in worshiping at the Second Baptist Church of Seguin, Texas, and Greater Sts. Stephens, New Orleans. Jonathan was preceded in death by his father. He served in the U.S. Air Force and saw combat in the Vietnam War. He retired from the Housing and Urban Development Agency in New Orleans and was the CEO of Artistic Consultants, LLC. A resident of New Orleans, Louisiana, for most of his life, Jonathan moved to Spring, Texas, after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. However, he still retained dual residency because of his love for New Orleans. He is survived by his mother, Merdes Griffin; wife, Jo Marie Griffin; children, Chrissandra Griffin, Jamissa Jarmon, Jonathan Griffin Jr. and Adrian Griffin (Clissie); grandchildren, Dorian, Kennedy, Julian and Sydney Griffin; sister, Gertrude Mills (Walter); brother, Baron Griffin; nephew, Dwayne Lewis (Dionne); and a host of family and friends. Jonathan was a very loving, caring and giving individual with strong convections about his family and friends. He will be truly be missed by all who loved him. ===================
