TERRY GEORGE PARTA, age 71, a native of New Orleans and a longtime resident of 
Slidell, LA, passed away after a lengthy illness on Monday, July 12, 2010.

He is survived by his wife Betty of 36 years, his son David Parta(Cindy), 
daughter Allison Parta, stepchildren Theresa Moody, Terri Cramer(Johnny), Rory 
Pettway(Sonia), his sister Darlene Parta, his grandchildren Ryan, Chad and 
Lindsey Cramer, Bradly and Tommy Moody, Chasstan Prichard and Nicholas Barrett, 
David Jr. and Alyssa Parta, Dewel and Skyler Pettway and Alex Urias and 12 great 
grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his Mother, Catherine Hoffman, a son, Barry Parta and 
stepdaughter Cindy Prichard. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. 
Afterwards he joined the New Orleans Police Department where he served for 18 
years and retired as a Detective. He was then appointed to Assistant Police 
Chief of Slidell, where he served for over 11 years. He then became a Detective 
for the St. Tammany Sheriff's Office. He was also a Private Investigator and 
Polygraph Examiner. He was a Charter Member of the Sons of Italy in Slidell, and 
a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. Services 
at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), 
Slidell, LA on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 11:00 A.M.

Interment in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY.

Visitation on Friday evening from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. and on Saturday after 
9:00 A.M. until funeral time.

Donations to Charity of your choice, preferred, in lieu of flowers.
