She was born September 16, 1961 in Paxton, Illinois, raised by her parents, Phyllis and Odissefs Vrettos and has been a resident of Mandeville since 1993. The beloved wife of Robert F. Schoolmeyer, she is survived by two sons, Michael Douglas Pittman (Fiancˇ: Jennifer) and Jonathan Dean Pittman (wife: Jenny) and Stepson, Clinton Morgan Schoolmeyer. She is also survived by her mother, Phyllis Vrettos, her sister, Angie Rayher (husband: Alan) and her two brothers, Teddy Vrettos (wife: Rachael) and Johnny Vrettos (wife: Robin). Also survived by Mother-in-Law and Step Father-in-Law, Ramona and Gerald Calfee, 2 Brother-in- Laws, Adam Schoolmeyer, Jr. (wife: Jan), Ryan Schoolmeyer (wife: Holly) and Sister-in-Law, Joan Schoolmeyer-Maggiore. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her Father, Odissefs Vrettos, and her Father-in-Law, Adam "Buddy" Schoolmeyer. Cindy touched the hearts of many and was admired by everyone that knew her. She was caring, compassionate and loyal. She was a very strong and courageous woman. She was devoted to her family and will truly be missed by all, especially her dear friends, Mitzi Nick and Phyllis Theriot. Cindy enjoyed traveling with her husband. She was a hard worker and enjoyed her job and dear friends and co-workers of Stein Mart in Mandeville. She loved her "butterfly garden" and was fascinated and enjoyed photographing butterflies. She was an adamant fan of Bon Jovi and she enjoyed baking and designing gourmet cakes and muffins. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the celebration of her life on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 1:00 PM at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 with visitation on Saturday from 11:00 AM until service time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cindy's name to the Breast Cancer Foundation, Susan G.
