Beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Valenti, Sr. Mother of Cathy Ipser, Penny Bunce, Cookie Johnson, Jay Valenti and the late Rozie Martinez. Sister of the late Claire Carbajol and Philip Pace. Also survived by 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Age 90 years. A native of New Orleans and a resident of Mandeville, LA. She was a wife, mother, homemaker and a New Orleans Public Service Representative. In her early years, she sang with the Russ Papalia Orchestra, was a Girl Scout Leader, head of Holy Rosary School PTA for years. In her later years she sang for Our Lady of the Lake Choir and went to Rome with the choir and sang for the Lord in the presence of Pope John Paul II. Member of the Alter Society the American Legion Women's Auxiliary and several community charitable organizations. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 312 Lafitte St., Mandeville, LA 70448. Visitation, AT THE CHURCH, on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment in Metairie Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice. E.J.
