A resident of Batavia, NY for eighty-five years, she has lived in Kingston, MA and Covington, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Mary Anna Majerowicz Marciniak. Married to the late Walter Kornowski and survived by their children, Walter Kornowski, Jr. (Nilly Levine), of Bethany, WV; Gail Kornowski Case (Ron) of Covington, LA, and Claudia Kornowski Bearman (William) of Eden Prairie, MN. She was also married to the late Walter Wojtas who is survived by Dolores Wojtas Parkhurst (Al) of Batavia, NY. Veronica is survived by her grandchildren Lincoln (Heather Barranger), Tyler (Joanna Brandt) and Adam Case; Nicole Bearman Parks, Jennifer Bearman Heiken; Bob Parkhurst (Wilamena), Cheryl Parkhurst Andre (Charles), Debra Kornowski Giblin (the late Michael) and Dorine Kornowski Laack (Peter). Also survived by her great-grandchildren Maggy, Lilly, Helen, and Julia Case, and Chuck, Christina, and Matthew Andre, Quinn and Skylar Giblin, Aidyn Laack. In Batavia, Veronica was active as a member of the Rosary Society at Sacred Heart Church, the Polish Falcons, and the Polish National Alliance. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 6:00 PM from E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433. Visitation on Saturday from 4:00 PM until service time. Her remains will then be forwarded to Batavia, NY. There will be a burial mass at Sacred Heart/ Ascension Catholic Church in Batavia at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 29, 2010. Visitation at the church from 9:00 AM until service time. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Batavia, NY. J. Leonard McAndrew Funeral Home, Batavia, NY in charge of the New York arrangements.
