He was surrounded by family and friends at the Boyington Nursing Home in Gulfport, MS which was his last home away from home. He leaves his wife Peggy Jones Collignon and three children, Jessica Peterson, Derrick Peterson, and Jason Peterson of Picayune, MS. He was the son of James and Mary Collignon of Covington, LA and the brother of Shea J. Collignon and Jill C. Jeffers (Mrs. Thomas) of Columbia, SC. He will be remembered in love by many Brockhoeft Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins, the Collignon and Naquin Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins and the Jeffers Cousins. He will be remembered in love by his Brother-In-Law Larry Jones and his family, Theresa, Marissa (Hot Rod) and Maranda. He will be remembered at St. Benedict Church where he was the first Altar Boy and by the prayer groups that he grew to love and attend. He was a great Tug Boat Captain on the Mississippi River and an excellent automotive mechanic and cherished those years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Annunciation Catholic Church, 5370 Kiln Delisle Road, Kiln, MS, on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at 11:00 am. (I-10 East to Bay St. Louis/Kiln Exit 13, left to Kiln, MS, turn right at the first traffic light, one mile on the right.) The Holy Rosary will be recited at 10:30 AM followed by Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery, Covington, LA. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Dirk's family. ===================
