William Lee "Bill" Dent was called to heaven for a peaceful rest on Monday, 
August 9, 2010. Bill was born in Washington, D.C. on December 12, 1939 and a 
resident of Madisonville and Covington for the past 40 years.

He is survived by the love of his life for 48 years, Theresa Keeney Dent. Father 
of Kim Dent Karrick and spouse Bobby of Covington and Dana Bryan and spouse 
Chuck of Cantonment, FL and grandson, Charles William "Will" Bryan. Brother of 
Allen R. Dent and spouse Kathy as well as a host of beloved cousins, nieces and 
nephews. He was the son of the late Calvin and Sophie Dent.

Bill was a graduate of Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville, Maryland and 
Southeastern University in Hammond, LA. He was employed at Equitable Shipyard as 
the Production Planner and retired from Walle Corp. as Vice President.

He was a loyal and treasured friend to many and was a life-long respected member 
of the community who enjoyed working in his yard and fishing. His fun loving 
nature always put a smile on your face.

Bill was a member of First Baptist Church of Covington and will be remembered 
always.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services 
Friday, August 13, 2010 at 4:00 PM from E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 
21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433. Visitation on Thursday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 
PM and on Friday from 2:00 PM until service time.

Interment in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to the 
Building Fund of First Baptist Church of Covington.
