Fried, III passed away peacefully at home. He was born on September 2, 1922 in New Orleans to the late Henry J. Fried, Jr. and Nettie Bendix Fried. He is preceded in death by his sister, Anna Mae Tortorich. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Jeannette Molinary Fried, his son, Henry J. Fried, IV, and his daughter, Rhonda Fried Bovia. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Patrick, Lisa, Erica and Philip; and also survived by 6 great- grandchildren, Nicholas, Shelby, Trevor, Treston, Ian and Olivia. Henry served in the U.S. Army during WWII as a member of the 3rd Armored Division. He was a resident of Chalmette, LA for 52 years and moved to Covington, LA after Hurricane Katrina. He retired as a printer from Accurate Letter Co. after 33 years of service. He was Past Master of Andrew Jackson Lodge #428 F & AM. He and his wife were also members of the "Fun for All" social club in Chalmette. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service in the Chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, 75212 Lee Road, Covington, LA 70435 on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at 2:00 pm. Visitation from 1:00 pm until service time. His family would like to thank St. Joseph Hospice and St. Tammany Hospice for their wonderful care during his illness. ===================
