Ingrid "Sam" Guess passed away at her home Friday night, July 30, 2010. 
Originally from Butzbach, Germany, she was a resident of Slidell for the past 24 
years.

She was the beloved wife of David Guess; mother of Steven King of Ferriday, 
James King of Hendersonville, N.C., Jason Richardson and Stan Guess of Slidell; 
sister of Silvia Crawford of Concord, N.H., Beate Huff of Memphis, Tenn., Hans 
Heilig of Vidalia and Leslie Rand Jr., of Arlington, Texas; and grandmother of 
John, Noah, Michael, Tracilynn and Elijah. She is also survived by four great-
grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday at Serenity Funeral Home, 
20419 Louisiana Highway 36, Covington. Visitation at the funeral home is from 2
