"Billy" Hamers died suddenly on Sunday, August 1, 2010. 

Billy was born April 10, 1952 in Spekholzenheide, The Netherlands to Mia Bindels 
Hamers of Lancaster, Ohio and the late Willem H. Hamers. 

Billy has been a resident of Mandeville since 1992 and was an employee of R&S 
Northeast, LLC.

He leaves behind his wife of 34 years, Julie Babbitt-Hamers, son, Billy Hamers, 
daughter, Meggie Hamers-Collins, son-in-law, John Mark Collins, and his 
grandson, Mac "Scooter" Collins, as well as many friends and family.

Billy will be remembered for being a fun host, a great father, a proud Papa and 
his never ending love for Coca-cola.

Friends and family are invited to gather together for a time to remember Billy 
on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at the Pontchartrain Yacht Club, 1501 Lakeshore 
Drive, Mandeville, LA 70448 from 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the St. Tammany Parish 
Humane Society
