Born in Marble,CO, Mollie moved to Denver when the town shut down in the 40's. A life member of the VFW Auxillary, she performed in hospital and numerous vocal shows to veterans of WWII. She also competed in the Miss Denver beauty pagent. She married Jerome Frederik Pankow in 1959. She moved to Slidell in 1965 with her husband and three children and worked as the Transportation Secretary of the St. Tammany Parish School Board where she retired in 1991. A dedicated Altar Guild Chariman at the Village Church-Lutheran in Lacombe, she saw to preparations of the altar for church services. She was preceded in death by her mother, Maurine Barnes Nickolai Herman, father, Julius Nickolai and step-father, Eugene Herman and half brother, Richard Pervorse. She is survived by her beloved husband, Jerome Frederik Pankow, her sons, Jeff(Paige), Paul(Lisa), a daughter, Marcine Shacklock(John), two grandchildren, Christine and Kevin Shacklock, two step-grandchildren, Jaimee Butler, Anni Hamer, step-great grandchildren, Dylon Hamer and Ellison, Cordellia Butler, a half-sister, Doris Herman Flageole and her sister/cousin Betty Barnes Trotter. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Monday, August 16, 2010 at 7:00 P.M. Interment in Olingers Crown Hill Cemetery, Denver, CO. Visitation on Monday after 4:00 P.M. until funeral time. ===================
