DAVID L. THORNHILL, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 
University Hospital in New Orleans, LA.

Beloved husband of Ruth Legendre Thornhill. Father of Blake Anthony Thornhill. 
Step-father of Brooke Champagne. Son of the late Wood L. and Martile Thornhill. 
Brother of Tom W. Thornhill and the late Sharon Thornhill Seal.

Age 51 years, a native of Bogalusa, LA and a resident of Slidell for the past 20 
years. 

Mr. Thornhill received his undergraduate degree from LSU and his graduate degree 
in Law from Mississippi College. He has been a practicing Trial Lawyer in 
Slidell for the past 20 years. He was a member and former member of the Board of 
Directors of the Louisiana Trial Lawyers Assoc., the Slidell Bar Association and 
the Louisiana State Bar Association.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services 
at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), 
Slidell, LA on Monday, August 23, 2010 at 2:00PM. Visitation will be from 
11:00AM until 2:00PM. Interment will follow in Hillview Cemetery, Bogalusa, LA. 

Donations to: The Greater Baton Rouge Hope Academy where David's son Blake 
attends school for Autism at http://www.hopeacademybr.org/ is preferred, in lieu 
of flowers.
