Hall, of Angie, Louisiana went to his eternal home on Monday, September 20, 2010 at the age of 79. Rev. Hall was born in Birmingham, Alabama, April 12, 1931 to Louis and Nellie Hall. He was raised in Birmingham, AL and New Orleans, LA by his grandmother, Ada Hall. He was married on August 21, 1951 to Muriel Korzendorfer at Walter Reed Military Hospital Chapel in Washington D.C. Rev. Hall retired from the U.S. Marine Corps in 1969 after 20 years of dedicated service. He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He served on the USS Midway and was a crew member of the USS Kitty Hawk when it was commissioned in 1961. After military retirement, Rev. Hall surrendered to preach at First Missionary Baptist Church in Varnado. He was ordained on March 23, 1990. He served as Pastor of Westwego Missionary Baptist Church, Westwego, LA from 1990 to 1995. He was a faithful member of the First Missionary Baptist Church of Varnado, where he was a Sunday school teacher. He is survived by his wife, Muriel Korzendorfer Hall, of Angie, LA; one son, Michael (Cindy) Hall of Bush, LA; four daughters, Deborah (Chess) McNeese of Bogalusa, LA, Sandra Carey of Grand Junction, CO, Brenda (Robert) Mitchell of Richton, MS and Linda (Jeffrey) Talley of Dallas, TX; 22 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Cordie Korzendorfer of Oklahoma City, OK; brother- in-law, Charles Miller of Virginia, MN, brother-in-law, Robert (Donna) Korzendorfer of Rochert, MN, brother-in-law, Terry (Violet) Korzendorfer of Excelsior, MN; devoted pets, Boo-Boo and Sassy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Nellie Hall; his grandmother, Ada Hall, mother & father-in-law, Jean and Richard Korzendorfer; one grandson, Richard Holden, brother-in-law, Richard Korzendorfer, and sister-in-law, Mary Lou Korzendorfer Miller. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at First Missionary Baptist Church of Varnado, 25546 Pearsol Road, Varnado, LA 70467 on Friday, September 24, 2010 at 5:00 pm. Rev. Hall's family is very grateful and thankful to the physicians and staff of the Louisiana Medical Center & Heart Hospital of Lacombe and Gulf States Long Term Acute Center of Bogalusa for their excellent care and compassion.
