Beloved husband of 69 years to Clare Gaudet Hardy. Loving father of Gaynell Hardy Lockhart and Dr. Kenneth James Hardy (Jennifer Parham Hardy). Son of the late Laure Marie Leveque Hardy and Matthew Wallace Hardy. Brother of the late Hilda Hardy Strieffer, Matthew Wallace Hardy, Jr. and Mildred Hardy. Grandfather of Meredith M. Lockhart, Jr., Lisa L. Scaffidi, Trisha L. Wells, Ryan H. Lockhart, Kristin H. Lema, Michelle E. Hardy, Courtney C. Hardy and Keifer J. Hardy. Great-grandfather of Kaylyn C. Scaffidi, Kyle J. Scaffidi, William C. Wells, II, Hardy M. Wells and Andrew R. Lockhart. Mr. Hardy retired as Regional Vice President of Sales for Kansas City Southern Railroad. He was a native of New Orleans, a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of WW II, and served as president of the Traffic and Transportation Club of Greater New Orleans. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel at E.J. FIELDING FUNERAL HOME, 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 with visitation on Tuesday beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mr. Hardy be made to Odyssey Hospice, 301 N. Columbia St., Covington, LA 70433. ===================
