Gwendolyn Dirr Lester passed away on September 7, 2010. 

She was born May 9, 1951 in to the late Ernest J. and Dorothy Baughman Dirr and 
has been a life resident of Covington.

The beloved wife of Dennis J. Johnson, she is survived by her daughter, Lauren 
Lester Jones; one son, Brandon M. Lester; her former husband, Gene Lester; two 
step-children, Shelly J. Jordan and Christopher T. Johnson; two sisters, Susan 
D. Culbertson and Kathleen D. Cannon; seven grandchildren: Tyler Lester, 
Brooklyn Johnson, James Glockner, Alyssa Jones, Stacy Blouin, Cameron Jordan, 
Aiden Lester and one great-grandson, Colby C. Ryan. 

She was preceded in death by one son, Christopher J. Lester and her brother, 
William J. Dirr.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend funeral services at 
11:00 AM on Friday, September 10, 2010 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 
21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433. Visiting hours will begin Friday at 9:00 AM.

Interment at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Covington will immediately follow 
services.
